Agreement of Cooperation signed with the People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University)

On June16 – 17, the USSH President visited and worked with the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University, Moscow, Russia) for the Agreement of Cooperation on the occasion of the Russian Science Day.

The RUDN University is one of the leading public higher educational institutions of Russia. It is the only university worldwide having students from 145-150 countries every year. Over 77,000 graduate diploma holders of whom over 5,500 are doctorates have beenworking in 170 countries. In addition, more than 29,000 graduate and postgraduate students from 140 countriescurrently studying at the University.


On June 16 – 17, the USSH President worked and signed the Agreement of Cooperation with the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (the RUDN University, Moscow, Russia).

Following the working session, the USSH and the RUDN University jointly signed the Agreement of Cooperation. The agreement centers on exchanges of students and staff, as well as joint research projects.

Schemes of cooperation:

- Exchange of students (including undergraduate and graduate students)

- Exchange of lecturers and staff;

- Joint research projects between the two universities’ researchers;

- Support in planning new academic projects/programs;

- Exchange of information and publishing;

- Organization of joint workshops, conferences;


Fields of cooperation:

The two universities agree on collaboration in any fied of shared interests.

With due regard tothe current financial status and its practicality, the two universities jointly established educational projects and training programs. Each respective university shall designate a coordinator to oversee and facilitate the implementation of the joint programs. The coordinators shall have responsibility to periodically report the status and progress of cooperation at least once a year.


Exchange of students:

Both universities agree

Specific details for the student exchange programs will be discussed and stipulated in the Appendix of Cooperation Programsattached to this Agreement.

Both universities will promote and ensure the accommodation and adequate conditions for exchange students’ academic activities, if applicable and necessary during the students stay at the respective universities.

Exchange of lecturers and staff:

The aim for the lecturers and staff exchange are teaching and researching.

A respective university will send the official invitation to the partner upon request for providing specific details for exchange activities (requirements, timeline, etc.).

The negotiation for lecturers and staff exchange between both Universities will include purposes, methods, and funding provision for lecturers and staff. 

Career-orientation training and exchange of administration and operation staff:

Both universities mutually agree on establishing training programs for administration and operation staff.




The signing of the Agreement of Cooperation between the USSH President and  Ms. Elena M. Gorozhankina – Vice-Rector Assistant for International Academic Mobility, the RUDN University, Russia.


The Agreement unveils new collaboration programs and opportunities. In particular, the delegation from the RUDN University will pay a visit and work with the USSH on specific programs next month.


It can be said that the collaboration between the USSH and Russian universities is a long-term and sustainable relationship, with diverse activities and directions for development. It can be found in previous Memorandum of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreementssigned by USSH and other institutions, namely Leningrad University, A.S.Pushkin National Institute, Moscow Lomonoxop National University, Far Eastern State University, Komsomolsk-na-Amure University of Education, Saint-Peterburg University, Russkiy Mir Foundation, Technological Institute of Southern Federal University, etc.
